The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of three main phases: Theory, Ocean diving / scenarios & first aid training.

You'll Learn how to: Help other divers, Fix minor gear issues, use an emergency O2 kit
Before the course: You complete 8-10 hours of online learning to understand the principles of being a rescue diver. This is issued to you upon sign up and then you can complete the dive theory in your own time.
During the course: Each day we meet here at the Dive Shop (5 Klinac Lane, Waipapa) at 8.30am to get organised for the days diving. We will spend the first day at Matauri Bay completing shore based diving and rescues. Then the 2nd day out on the boat at Deep Water Cove completing boat based diving and rescues.
If you would like to book in for a First aid course please let us know and we can arrange for you. We highly recommend completing a first aid course or a refresher course if it has been over 2 years to learn some potentially life-saving skills.

Approximately 8-10 hours online learning
2 days of Diving! + 1x day of first aid training (Optional addition)
Gear Requirements
All gear is supplied for you for the course. You only need to provide your own Mask & Snorkel. We have a great range in store and can help you choose one on the morning of your course.
